The Žiber family has been living in the settlement of Parecag near Sečovlje for about two hundred years. Our ancestors probably came from France in the time of Napoleon, when the place belonged to the Illyrian Provinces. Since that time, the members of the family have earned their living by farming and salt production in the saltpans of Sečovlje. The tradition of agriculture has been preserved until the present day and continues to be the principal activity of the Žibers. The farm is run and carefully managed by Egidio Žiber, agronomical engineer, for whom his work and caring attention are his greatest satisfaction. Also the rest of the family are fully engaged in all works on the farm.
