Assisted by the Labin Museum and the Merania Pottery Workshop, we have made copies of amphorae to inform general public about a characteristic item originating from the rich heritage of Istria. Each amphora is a unique product, hand-made on a potter's wheel. The Bolčič Joinery Workshop made an original stand and casing, so that the amphora can be used in modern cooking. Already in the time of the Roman Empire, istrian olive oil was famous for its high quality resulting from the territory's geographic position and its special features.
